Stitch Your Troubles Away
Stitch Your Troubles Away
Life is hard. There is not much taste in this world. This is a small reminder that the process can be especially beneficial and can actually reduce stress levels. The benefits of piercing a needle through tissue are known to be akin to meditation. I can see firsthand how much it helps relieve stress, depression and anxiety. It's all about
There is something magical about the way your hands are sewn together, which allows your brain to roam freely. This is one of the reasons I keep reminding you that it's not about perfect - who really cares what the back of your stitching looks like or if you “do it right”? Sewing is all about the journey and the journey is relaxing. It's good for stress, health, aging, everything. Also, I believe that happiness comes from gratitude and donations, and nothing is more fun than giving someone your finished work - especially if it really upsets them. Think back to the last time someone gave you something handmade that made your day more than just because it was funny - they thought of you and spent their free time creating something especially for you. Such kindness means much more than a store-bought card. This is a real gift . This is the reason why I started using Subversive Cross Stitch. This is art therapy, it is amazingly soothing, and the end result brings a smile to the faces of other people. What's better than this?
“The craft can help those suffering from anxiety, depression
or chronic pain,” experts say. It can also relieve stress, increase happiness,
and protect the brain from aging-related damage. ”
I think there must be steps to
deal with this crazy world, how to deal with grief I don't know what it is, but
hopefully you will get into a hopeful phase where you will find what you can do
to make the world a better place. Whether it's a procession, protest, or sewing
for therapy, don't forget to vote in mid-November. This is more important now
than ever. All is not lost yet. Most importantly, do not despair! Or, if you
find yourself in despair, take a step back, reboot with some line, and then
come back again. This image brightened my day.
