Best Skincare Routine

5 things to know to start taking care of your skin

The thought of choosing a new product for your skin can be overwhelming before you even get to the store. Branding and marketing make every product seem like a great job for our skin, but how do we really know where to start and which products are right for us? How can we build a skincare routine that meets our needs without feeling overwhelmed? Well I have the answers for you. Coco gave me some great tips on how you can start taking care of your skin and I've listed them for you.

1 - understand your skin first

Look for the characteristics of your skin, identify if you have dry, oily , combination and / or sensitive skin . The key to choosing the right products is to understand what type of skin you have and what your main concerns are to treat and take good care of . Once you recognize this, most of your concerns can be avoided and managed. If you want to learn more about skin types , check out - What Is My Skin Type And How To Take Care Of It.

2 - Don't get overwhelmed and follow social media and marketing trends.

Keep in mind that what might work for your friends might not work for you. There are a lot of products that won't even benefit your skin at all. Focus on what you are looking for, ask yourself the question: what does my skin really need?

3 - start by evaluating your budget

Establish a budget and build your skincare routine skin as best you can from there. If you can, ask an esthetician or a dermatologist to help you establish a plan with the right products. Set a budget and work with it to get started.

4 - Remember that it takes time

A single step or a single product does not do all the work for you. Coco explains that skin is like any diet, you can't eat just one thing and expect to be healthy. It should be balanced between protein, vegetables, carbohydrates , etc Same goes with your skincare routine. Skin care products have special functionality and a reason each of them is important. Don't expect to see miracles if you're inconsistent and not using the products your skin needs.

5 - Do not overdo the steps when it is not necessary.

Know the basics and see what to add. The most important products for day and night are cleanser, toner, serum / treatment, eye cream, moisturizer and spf for the dayYou now know that you must first understand your skin, answer your own questions by asking in a professional, establishing a budget and a list. Take your pick to start a basic skin care routine, be patient, and build from there. Remember, you can always ask a dermatologist or esthetician for suggestions on what to add in case you have a specific skin problem.

However, it is important to take the time to take care of your skin, especially at the start of the day. The way you prepare your skin in the morning will protect your skin from daily irritants that harm and age the skin. It's also worth mentioning that prepping your face before your makeup will create glowing skin that will last longer than simply applying concealer under your eyes and walking out of your house.

Step 1: Clean up.
Your face absorbs the oils from your hair and pillow overnight. You can also sweat while you sleep and touch your face with your hands. This means that you have to wash off the dirt that has accumulated on your skin, even if you have slept through the night. Washing your face with your hands is certainly an effective way to cleanse, but newer tools with powered oscillating brushes that remove dirt from pores may be a trend to try. The gentle scrub action can also help wake up your skin a bit faster. Also, a tip to make yourself feel a bit more invigorated from your cleansing routine: start with lukewarm water to open the pores and finish with a very cold rinse.

Step 2: Hydrate with SPF.
Save time and meet two common skin needs at the same time: hydration and protection. The skin needs hydration and above all it needs to be replenished after cleansing. Look for a tinted moisturizer or a day cream that includes SPF. Not only will your skin be regenerated, but it will retain a water-rich glow. Your face and neck will also be protected from the harsh rays of the sun, which can lead to accelerated skin aging if overexposed, regardless of the season.

Step 3: Dab off the eye cream.
One quick step that is part of the best skincare routine for anyone who just needs a little fuss: eye cream. Eye cream helps moisturize a sensitive and vulnerable part of your skin and may promote a more rested appearance. The eye cream will also help smooth out the lines that form from your concealer or foundation under the eyes . Dab with your finger from the inside, under the eyes to the upper eyelid up. Get a little extra boost with a caffeine-containing eye cream to help wake up the area under the eyes.

Step 4: Take a water to go.
Hydration from the inside is an essential step in having glowing and beautiful skin that lasts. Have your water bottle charged and ready to use the night before so all you have to do is enjoy it on the go. Healthy skin is hydrated skin and starting your day with a bottle of water will help you achieve your best glowing skin.

Do you only have a few minutes to spend on your makeup routine?

1. Eyebrows: Deeper, heavier eyebrows promote a more youthful appearance.

2. Eyeliner: Whether you are hitting your top or both top and bottom lash lines , using a black, brown, or navy liner opens up the area, waking up the face.

3. Blush cheek a pink or light powder blush button makes your skin awake

4. Lips: Smack a quick balm, or choose a glossy color for a statement
